Question 01

What's included in tuition — and what comes as a surprise?

Our tuition covers your child's full program day, all classroom materials, daily snacks prepared in our kitchen, and access to our outdoor learning garden. There are no curriculum fees or supply lists sent home in August. The only extras are optional enrichment add-ons (music, movement, Spanish) billed monthly at $45–$65 each, and a one-time $95 enrollment fee for new families. We publish our full fee schedule before you visit — no number should surprise you.

Question 02

How small are the classes? Will my child actually get attention?

Our toddler rooms (ages 2–3) hold a maximum of 10 children with two lead teachers — a ratio of 1:5, stricter than NAEYC's recommended 1:6. Our preschool rooms (ages 3–5) cap at 16 children with two teachers, maintaining a 1:8 ratio. We've held these numbers since we opened. When enrollment fills, we open a waitlist rather than add a desk. Your child will know their teacher's name by the end of the first morning.

Max 10 toddlers. Max 16 preschoolers. No exceptions.

Question 03

Montessori, Reggio, play-based — what approach do you actually use?

We draw from Reggio Emilia's belief that children are capable, curious researchers, and from play-based theory's evidence that unstructured exploration builds the deepest cognitive foundations. In practice: your child will have long blocks of self-directed time, provocations set up by teachers to spark inquiry, and a physical environment designed with natural light, wooden materials, and their own artwork on every wall. We do not use worksheets, timed assessments, or homework — ever.

The environment is the third teacher. Ours is designed like it.

Question 04

What does a typical day look like — and what about lunch?

Morning arrival runs 7:30–9:00 AM with free exploration. From 9:00–11:30, children move between teacher-guided and self-directed activities. Lunch is 11:30–12:15 — we provide a hot, kitchen-prepared lunch five days a week (included in full-day tuition). Afternoon is quieter: rest time, sensory play, and outdoor time before pick-up at 3:00 or 5:30 PM for extended care families. We share a daily photo update through our parent app so you know exactly what your child made, explored, or said something hilarious about.

Hot lunch included. Daily photo update. Pick-up at 3 or 5:30.

Question 05

What actually happens at drop-off during the first week?

We use a phased transition schedule for every new child — no cold-drop-off, ever. Week one: a parent stays for the first two days, present but in the background. Days three and four, we do a short goodbye with a consistent ritual (a special handshake, a wave from the window). By day five, most children walk in independently. For children who need more time, we extend the transition as long as needed. Your child's teacher will text you a photo within 20 minutes of every drop-off for the first two weeks.

No cold drop-off. Phased transitions. A photo within 20 minutes.

Question 06

How do I know if my child is actually ready for preschool?

The honest answer: most children are ready before their parents feel ready. If your child can follow a simple two-step direction, shows curiosity about other children, and is working toward (not necessarily mastered) toilet independence, they can thrive here. We don't require full potty training for our youngest toddler room. What matters most is that you feel ready to trust a team with your child for a few hours — because the moment you do, they will too. We offer a free 30-minute classroom visit before enrollment so your child can meet their teacher first.

What Families Say

"We visited four preschools. Enroll was the only one where our daughter walked in and immediately sat down with the other kids. She didn't look back. I cried in the parking lot — the good kind."

Parent of Ananya, age 3

"My husband and I both work full-time. The extended care, the daily photo updates, the teacher texts at drop-off — Enroll clearly built their program around how families actually live, not some idealized version."

Marcus and Diane Okafor, parent testimonial

Marcus & Diane Okafor

Parents of twins, age 4

"I'm a first-generation college graduate. I researched every preschool philosophy for three months. What finally convinced me wasn't a brochure — it was sitting in that classroom for 30 minutes and watching how the teachers listened to the children."
